About Me

I’m a culture writer published with The Atlantic, Pitchfork, Vulture, The Bluegrass Situation, Village Voice, Apple Music, Paste, Consequence of Sound, Bandcamp, and more. Though I’ve mostly focused on music, I’ve also covered stand-up comedy, visual art, museum spaces, and more. At the crux of my work exist conversations: I’ve had over 70 on behalf of The Bluegrass Situation alone, and I appreciate the opportunity to dive beyond a project—be it a new song or album—and expound on life’s bigger questions.

If you’d like to get in touch about my writing, please contact me via aawicks at gmail dot com.

Beyond what I produce as a writer, I’m also an experienced digital content manager and social media manager. You can find out more about that work on LinkedIn.
