But now, after more than a decade spent helping Justin Vernon navigate the music industry, the Middle West Management co-founder is eyeing a new arena for his independent-minded approach: the House of Representatives. Last week, Frenette announced his bid for the Democratic nomination for Wisconsin’s 7th Congressional District. He’s running on a progressive platform with a focus toward raising the minimum wage, establishing universal healthcare, and making broadband internet a “public utility instead of a private luxury.”
